Trivia Night – Pub Quiz for Adam

Midnight Riders Trivia Event - Pub Quiz for AdamTeam Trivia Event

Join us at The Pour House on April 9 at 7:30 pm for a team trivia competition to benefit our young friend Adam Kopoyan. Proceeds will go to benefit Adam and his family and there will be all kinds of awesome prizes for the winning teams.

A message from Adam’s Family:

Our son, Adam, was born on July 5th 2011, just a minute before his twin sister Taline. They were born a bit premature, but perfectly healthy. On January 13th 2012, a day after their six month physical, he sustained a traumatic brain injury and severe retinal hemorrhaging. He spent over two weeks in the pediatric intensive care unit and is now in a rehab facility for children.

Adam has a long way to go and it will most likely be years of rehab before the impact of his brain damage is completely understood. The prognosis of early March eye surgery is uncertain and formal hearing tests have been scheduled for April. On the bright side Adam is now breathing without a ventilator, has relearned to suck his pacifier, takes all meals by bottle, regained some of his mobility and routinely treats family and friends to a smile and giggle. With Adam’s youthful spirit, the continued overwhelming support of family and friends, and prayers from many, we are hopeful that Adam will enjoy an independent life.

Show Racism The Red Card

Show Racism The Red CardThe Midnight Riders are proud to join the Independent Supporter’s Council, Supporter’s Clubs throughout the league and people around the world in showing our support for the United Nations’ End Racial Discrimination Day (March 21) and participating in the Show Racism The Red Card movement.

At the Revolution Home Opener match against the Portland Timbers on March 24, immediately following the National Anthem, we will raise Red Cards to show unity against racism and homophobia. We call on our members and fellow fans alike to join us in taking a stand against discrimination.

Soccer in North America exists as a collaboration of rich cultures, backgrounds and heritage from all over the world, including right here at home. As the sport grows in our country, it is ever more important for us to celebrate and enrich the diverse backgrounds and character of the sport, its players and its supporters. Show Racism The Red Card is a proud and visible announcement to honor the movement around the world that we not only recognize the richness of all cultures, background, races, colors, and creeds that create and support this glorious sport, but also to take a stand against any discrimination against any of these cultures. This is us saying we do not tolerate racist, homophobic and oppressive insults or abuse of anyone and such behavior is not welcome in soccer culture or in our house.

We encourage everyone to bring any red cards they have to join us in this movement. We will also be distributing red cards in the tailgate area, at our membership table at the top of the The Fort (Section 143) and within the Fort.
