It’s finally here! The Midnight Riders will host a karaoke night to benefit Disability Rights Maine’s programming and services for the d/Deaf community. This event will place from 8 pm to 11pm on Thursday, August 30th at Bella Luna/Milky Way in Jamaica Plain. Join us (no cover!), sing a few tunes, and help raise money for a worthy cause.
How it works
When you’re ready to place a karaoke “order”, choose the correct color karaoke song slip, fill it out, and bring it up to the karaoke jockey’s table. The karaoke jockey will get your order payment processed and your name added to the queue for singers.
Please be sure to choose the right color karaoke slip, as each color has a different meaning:
- White karaoke slip: I would like to sing a song of my choosing.
- Yellow karaoke slip: I’m challenging someone to sing a song of their choosing.
- Green karaoke slip: I would like to purchase insurance against being forced to sing.
- Orange karaoke slip: I would like to sing a song from the Premium List.
- Blue karaoke slip: I want to skip the queue and have my song next (unless the next song(s) also paid to skip, then I go after them)

Step Right Up
If you’re raring to get on stage and show off your vocals, we’re selling the first five singing spots right now. These spots are $10/each and can’t be used to challenge others to sing; if you buy one, you’re at the mic. They can, however, be used to sneak a Premium song in at a lower price, so if you’re absolutely jonesing to sing Born in the USA, here’s your chance to do it at a (relative) discount.
