Sorry!

DJ's, more stds than Twellman's hot tub.
DJ's, more stds than Twellman's hot tub.

Sorry for the long absence from the blog.  I appreciate the emails concerned with my whereabouts.  I was fine, just a little busy with life and thinking about life and recovering from my coke binge in the DJ’s bathroom.   Speaking of DJ’s, if anyone sees that cocktail waitress ask her what this rash is all about, I’ve tried Gold Bond and Desitin and it still feels like I’m sitting in a small brush fire.

I would also like to show my appreciation to all of you didn’t email me concerned with my whereabouts.  I’m sure all of you, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, were equally as worried as the two people who sent me emails were.  You just understood my creative genius and what it takes to achieve the level of genius at which I operate.  I can’t be bothered.  Sometimes I just need to be left alone.  You know when I’m in one of my “moods,” and even though I can be a real pain in the neck to be around, you love me anyways because I am going to create something extraordinary that will most likely change the world.

First stop on the Change the World World Tour…

Myfoxboston.com!  They’re currently holding a contest to find out who is the “most money” athlete in Boston.  Obviously that is our very own Taylor Twellman, who won the first round of voting and is in the lead in round two.  What is more money than sitting around and collecting the biggest paycheck on the team with no timetable for return?  I would love to collect from my office without doing work (I’m actually writing this from my desk and I have to say I’m quite good at it).  So follow the link and get over there and get Twellman and the Revs the media respect that they deserve.

Speaking of respect…

Color me surprised that DJ’s actually put the game on back on Saturday night.  I’m not one that cares much about having the sound on and the fact that it was a 10:30 pm start time we were just lucky enough to have somewhere to go. Mad props DJ’s!

I’ll leave the review of DJ Gemini to Garrett, our resident house music expert but I do have one complaint, the wait staff.  They should really be forced to wear more clothing while the game is on.  I spent most of my time trying to sleep with and then subsequently sleeping with several of the female employees there and I hardly had a minute to watch the game.  Luckily,  I had the game recorded to watch while I was curled up in a ball working off my hangover the following Sunday.

The actual game…

Darrius Barnes looked pretty legit, huh? Where did you read that again? Oh yeah, here, written by me.  No big deal, just leave your praise in the comments box below.

Other than Barnes, Kevin Alston and Kheli Dube were the top performers for me.  I’ll also agree with the majority that we got lucky to win but that how it goes on the road.  It was our first win in the Bay Area since 2000 and a great start to the season.  Couple this win with Liverpool’s 5-0 drubbing that I watched at the Phoenix Landing and I had a great soccer weekend.

Stay tuned tomorrow for a preview of the trip to NJ and the next two US match-ups and where you should watch them.

Until next time Camille Toes.

    Dear insider,

I think that it is wonderful that you and your young friends had an enjoyable time at your soccer party.

Maya Angelou was born Marguerite Annie Johnson in St. Louis, Missouri. Her parents divorced when she was only three and she was sent with her brother Bailey to live with their grandmother in the small town of Stamps, Arkansas. In Stamps, the young girl experienced the racial discrimination that was the legally enforced way of life in the American South, but she also absorbed the deep religious faith and old-fashioned courtesy of traditional African American life. She credits her grandmother and her extended family with instilling in her the values that informed her later life and career. She enjoyed a close relationship with her brother, who gave her the nickname Maya when they were very young.

    Yours,

    Maya

Thanks for the update…that was a nice win with one shot on goal. Hopefully some of the injured players can make it back.

Sorry to hear about DJs…not surprised at all.

    To my fellow Camel Toes,

Maya Angelou has never been so insulted, or intrigued, in her whole life.

    Yours,

    Maya Angelou
