Despite what they tell you…
There will be a viewing party at a bar for the first Revs game of the season. Even though the team’s media outlet won’t admit it on their blog:
Jim - Away game viewings will happen, but a 10:30 p.m. game on a Saturday is hard to plan with a bar no matter what game it is.
Look for full details on the Revs’ away game viewings soon …
That’s from the editor of the Revs official blog, thankfully someone followed up with the details that we’ve posted here and you’ve seen on Big Soccer and the Rider’s site. As a friendly reminder, be at DJ’s before 10 to avoid the cover. See you all there.
Straightening out the Ghanaian transfer rumors
Many of you BigSoccer lurkers may have read this tasty little bit about three potential Revs signings from Ghana. Many of you BigSoccer lurkers may have missed this post from Evan. To make a long story short, the reputable Ghanasoccernet.com, took an inquisition from Evan about a few players with the smallest chance of signing and turned it into a breaking news report where those players that Evan asked about were turned into “official signings.”
Just goes to show that in this barren wilderness that is American soccer coverage you can’t believe every rumor you read. The absolute lack of news, especially to Revs fans, makes all of us the susceptible to taking these rumors as truth and getting over excited. Luckily, Kyle McCarthy of the Boston Herald has reassured us that a signing is virtually imminent for the Revs.

Mar 20, 09 at 7:07 amDear Insider - As you may know, With the publication of I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, I was heralded as a new kind of memoirist, one of the first African American women who was able to publicly discuss her personal life. With this in mind, I will make every effort to join you, and the other Camel Toes, for what promises to be a delightful evening.
