I can’t wait to meet my Ticket Rep!

————————————
I finally got outside today and played some soccer after work with my friend Kdawg. If The Camille Toes does, in fact, become the nickname for my endearing fans then K would be the big toe. For those of you who don’t know him, he was the one sleeping on the bus in the Meadowlands two years ago while the rest of us were in the stadium cheering on the Revs. If that still doesn’t ring a bell I imagine you will become quite intimate with him through this blog as he is my right hand man and fellow first year season ticket holder. I plan on detailing our exploits following the team in this blog throughout the season.
The first report could very well be on from the Inaugural Season Ticket Holder Event on April 1 which promises to involve a meet and greet with Steve Nicol, Steve Ralston, and equally if not more exciting, your new ticket rep.
Has anyone been to “Meet the Coach” or similar events? Is this fun or does it just make your skin crawl the entire time? Does it obtain that awkward, semi-creepy Revs Groupie atmosphere that I most recently witnessed first-hand when staying in the same hotel as the Revs in DC at MLS Cup 2008? If so I probably won’t go but it does promise the following: “Light appetizers, soda and water will be available. In addition, there will be a cash bar.” If only the Bar was open to show thanks to their most dedicated paying customers then this would be a no brainer. Coach after a few drinks would be a great night of entertainment.
Another thing to consider is that the US Men’s Soccer team is also playing Trinidad & Tobago in World Cup Qualifying that night and I think I would rather be at the cash bar at the Phoenix Landing with the American Outlaws. Expect a very exciting and detailed blog/advertisement for that matches viewing party.

Meet the Coach is a good time, you get a lot of honest answers from Nicol, he doesn’t exactly beat around the bush on things, but the Season Ticket Holder event is a new thing this year. Meet the Revs is indeed a creepy groupie-like atmosphere and is aimed towards kids anyway…possible that this is the “adult” version of it, and Meet the Revs will still happen for the families and kids.

Mar 13, 09 at 10:37 pmMinor edit: We were in the same hotel as the Revs at MLS Cup 2007, not 2008. The Revs were sadly in front of their couches for that match.
