I’m using the first line of this post to draw attention to what amounted to another magical Anfield night in Liverpool. The Reds won 4-0 in emphatic fashion over Real Madrid in the second league of their Champions League tie. I’m expecting all of my loyal readers (first joke!) to share with me their feelings while watching this match.
Speaking of my loyal readers, I expect you all to come up with some sort of hip nickname for yourselves. The Camille Contigency might work. There needs to be alliteration.
Oh yeah, and there’s some Revs News
If you have not had a chance to read this in any of the other half-dozen places that people post current Revs news, Kyle McCarthy wrote this great piece on one of the most interesting players that is in camp with the team, Darrius Barnes. With the loss of Michael Parkhurst and the general unease surrounding Gabriel Badilla the Revs have a huge question mark in the center of defense and Barnes may just be the guy to step in and fill Parkhurst’s formidable shoes.
Is there anywhere in Boston that will show the Revs at 10:30 pm on a Saturday Night?
The answer is probably no but we can try at the very least. DJ’s which has hosted the Riders quite well in the past may still be able to show the opening match of the season but they could very well have some terrible band already scheduled to preform that night which could make things difficult.
Anyone with any other ideas for where to watch in Boston? Where are the other Midnight Riders watching? Did your “other” team win in the Champions League? Is there anything better than reading this? Will Darrius Barnes be the answer in the back?

Though I wish the Revs and other MLS would take the Champions League as Roma. Heck, I’d settle for them taking it as seriously as USL teams.

As for the Revs, I hope this kid can handle MLS, Parkhurst was the anchor of the defense, so let’s see what happens. I don’t like all the questions surrounding Badilla either.
